What are eLearning Credits (eLCs)?
The Government has set aside substantial funds for schools to spend on multimedia resources in the form of eLCs (Electronic Learning Credits).
The money is distributed from central Government via Local Education Authorities to individual schools, which decide locally how to spend it.
Every school has an appointed eLC budget-holder (eg the headteacher, head of department, Bursar or ICT coordinator). All teachers are invited to recommend resources for purchase.
What is Curriculum Online?
Curriculum Online is an initiative from the Department for Education and Skills (DfES). The objective of this initiative is to give teachers in England access to a wide range of digital learning materials, which they can use to support their teaching across the English national curriculum.
Can I spend eLearning Credits with SiR Learning Systems Ltd?
Yes. SiR is a registered retailer for curriculum online certified products. However eLearning credits can only be used to buy products that meet the Curriculum Online criteria and are certified.
How do I place an order using eLCs?
We will help you to make a selection of learning resources to meet your requirements from our extensive portfolio. You will then simply pay for your SiR bespoke package with funding from Standards Fund Grant 618, which is your eLC allocation.
We will just require an official purchase order that states that the materials are to be paid for using eLearning credits.
