Coypu provides an exciting computer-based approach to graphing functions and data. It has been developed by SiR and the internationally respected Shell Centre for Mathematical Education at the University of Nottingham.
Coypu is designed to encourage the imaginative exploration of data and to develop interpretation skills. Its capabilities include plotting Cartesian, polar and parametric equations, producing scattergrams and simple line graphs from data files.
What key features does it have?
Versatile and easy to use
Simple process of typing in formulae and 'dragging and dropping'
Can be used to explore the basics of co-ordinate geometry and transformations
Invaluable to students wishing to plot function or experimental data
Graphs can be moved around easily, enabling different areas st the same scale to be seen
