The multimedia Primary Reading Test has been developed in conjunction with NFER-NELSON. It is an adaptation of the popular assessment currently administered to over 250,000 children in UK schools.
'UNLIMITED TESTS'
The Primary Reading Test is an individually administered multiple-choice reading test, providing an assessment of children's ability to understand words and simple sentences in the early stages of learning to read.
This multimedia version first guides children through comprehensive and full interactive practice modules and then allows them to work at their own pace. Complete standardisation of administration is ensured as well as saving teacher time normally spent in introducing the test.
Special features include:
It consists of two levels, each with two alternative forms that allow for re-testing at a later stage.
Each level of the test contains 48 test items arranged in equal and ascending order of difficulty.
The two levels cover different age ranges:
Level 1 covers the 6 - 10 years age range
Level 2 covers the 7 - 12 years age range
In addition, Level 1 can be administered as a Word Recognition Test in which the questions are presented orally to the child.
What are its components?
Results are automatically scored, ensuring accuracy of scores. Scores are recorded for individuals and a child's results can be viewed in a number of ways. All results can be stored and reviewed, making it easier to evaluate progress if alternative forms are administered over a period of time.
Options to display and print all test results, to print student answers and the results of a class list are available.
An option for exporting test results is also available.
