The Discovery (or OMS) management system can be installed on a standalone computer with the Courseware locally installed or running from CD. Or more commonly, the management system can be installed on a network server with the courseware also on the server (the courseware can be installed on the client machine), in these cases a client version of the management system needs to be installed on each workstation. A wireless laptop can be used as an alternative to a workstation, but for performance reasons will need the courseware locally installed. In addition, a laptop or workstation not permentantly connected to the file server can return the results and access new lesson plans at the next time a connection is made over the network or by Internet from a students home to the school for instance. The software supports versions of
Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2K, XP and network operating system that
supports Windows, NT, 2000, 2003, Novell and also compatible with RM CC3.
The majority of our products automatically mark the learners submitted answers for completed sections when using the Discovery Management system. The balance of products contain varied amounts of self assessment and on screen results for immediate feedback.
