Lesson Plan Scenario 1

(Students perspective) Lesson PlanLesson Plan

You are Sam

You are an 8-year-old boy (Year 4.)

You are a special needs child working at level 1.

You attend the special needs department for the entire numeracy hour.

During this hour you have access to 'Your Discovery Lesson Plan' for 15 minutes per day.

Your concentration span ranges between 10 – 15 minutes.

Each Discovery Lesson plan should take you no longer than 2 Weeks.

While working on the lesson plan you will have 1:1 support.

The lesson plan you will be working on is ‘Counting and Ordering numbers to 20 (-level 1).

The Discovery Lesson Planner has been set to only display this individualised Lesson Plan and its contents, which will help you Focus on the task assigned, rather than be distracted by other links.

Instructions:

1. Log on to ‘Discovery’ with your logon name Sam
2. Double click on ‘Counting and Ordering Numbers to 20’
3. Double click on ‘Counting numbers’ in the menu.
4. Click on the book to open the program. You are to do all of the questions in each section.
5. Leave ‘Counting numbers’ by clicking on the book again.
6. Next you are to go into ‘Know About Numbers’ and again do all of the questions.
7. Open ‘Number Webs’ and have a go.
8. To finish with have a go at ‘Arrange the Numbers.’
